母亲辛苦了，虽然没能陪在您身边一起过属于您的节日。或许您也不知道今天是您的节日。但我一直在心底感激着您，看着母亲一丝一丝的白发，一条一条逐日渐深的皱纹，多年含辛茹苦哺育我成人的母亲，时光荏苒，我们在母亲温馨的抚爱中长大成人，母亲总是把一缕缕温暖及时输送给我们，让我们在纷杂的尘世中永存那份做人的品性，不失那份人之初的纯真。在这个特别的属于您的节日里请接受我对您最深切的祝愿：节日快乐，永远健康长寿！

  让我们多给母亲一点爱与关怀，那怕是酷暑中的一把扇子；寒冬中的一件毛衣，让母亲时刻感受儿女的关心。有时间，还得常回家看看吧。

附：母亲节的由来(来历)
　  母亲节起源于希腊，古希腊人在这一天向希腊神话中的众神之母赫拉致敬。在17世纪中叶，母亲节流传到英国，英国人把封斋期的第四个星期天作为母亲节。在这一天里，出门在外的年青人将回到家中，给他们的母亲带上一些小礼物。

　　现代意义上的母亲节起源于美国，由AmanmJarvis（1864－1948）发起，她终身未婚，一直陪伴在她母亲身边。1905年在母亲去世时，Amanm悲痛欲绝。两年后（1907年），Amanm和她的朋友开始写信给有影响的部长、商人、议员来寻求支持，以便让母亲节成为一个法定的节日。Amanm认为子女经常忽视了对母亲的感情，她希望母亲节能够让人多想一想母亲为家庭所付出的一切。第一个母亲节于1908年5月10日在西弗吉尼亚州和宾夕法尼亚州举行，在这次节日里，康乃磬被选中为献给母亲的花，并以此流传下来。1913年，美国国会通过了一份议案，将Array。母亲节从此流传开来！

Mother's Day is a time of commemoration and celebration for Mom. It is a time of breakfast in bed, family gatherings, and crayon scribbled "I Love You"s.

The earliest Mother's Day celebrations can be traced back to the spring celebrations of ancient Greece in honor of Rhea, the Mother of the Gods. During the 1600's, England celebrated a day called "Mothering Sunday". Celebrated on the 4th Sunday of Lent (the 40 day period leading up to Easter), "Mothering Sunday" honored the mothers of England.

During this time many of the England's poor worked as servants for the wealthy. As most jobs were located far from their homes, the servants would live at the houses of their employers. On Mothering Sunday the servants would have the day off and were encouraged to return home and spend the day with their mothers. A special cake, called the mothering cake, was often brought along to provide a festive touch.

As Christianity spread throughout Europe the celebration changed to honor the "Mother Church" - the spiritual power that gave them life and protected them from harm. Over time the church festival blended with the Mothering Sunday celebration . People began honoring their mothers as well as the church.

In the United States Mother's Day was first suggested in 1872 by Julia Ward Howe (who wrote the words to the Battle hymn of the Republic) as a day dedicated to peace. Ms. Howe would hold organized Mother's Day meetings in Boston, Mass ever year.

In 1907 Ana Jarvis, from Philadelphia, began a campaign to establish a national Mother's Day. Ms. Jarvis persuaded her mother's church in Grafton, West Virginia to celebrate Mother's Day on the second anniversary of her mother's death, the 2nd Sunday of May. By the next year Mother's Day was also celebrated in Philadelphia.

Ms. Jarvis and her supporters began to write to ministers, businessman, and politicians in their quest to establish a national Mother's Day. It was successful as by 1911 Mother's Day was celebrated in almost every state. President Woodrow Wilson, in 1914, made the official announcement proclaiming Mother's Day as a national holiday that was to be held each year on the 2nd Sunday of May.

While many countries of the world celebrate their own Mother's Day at different times throughout the year, there are some countries such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and Belgium which also celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May.
